Model estimate for a 60 m square. Not a measurement.
Flood Check is a free 3D map of recent floods in African cities, built from public rain, ground height and map data. Search a street, an estate or a landmark to see how deep the water got there, hour by hour. Lagos: the flood of 28 June to 1 July 2026, from Igando to Ajah and from Apapa to Ikorodu. Nairobi: the flood of 5 to 8 March 2026, from Karen and Kibera to Embakasi and Kasarani (open Nairobi).
In the model, the most land was under 10 cm of water or more at 17:00 on Tuesday 30 June: about 123 km² across Lagos, from Igando to Ajah and from Apapa to Ikorodu. Press reports named flooding on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ago Palace Way in Okota, Ikorodu Road at Maryland, Oshodi, Gbagada and Jakande in Lekki. The depths are a model estimate, not measurements.
